With quality charcoal and a steady vent setup, it can maintain temperature for10+ hours — perfect for overnight briskets or long weekend smokes!
It depends on the style of cooking — low and slow will sip fuel, while high-temp searing uses more. Thanks to the thick ceramic walls, it’s incredibly efficient. For most cooks, you’ll use significantly less charcoal than a standard kettle BBQ.
If the accessory is designed for a 22-inchKamado, it should be compatible — but we recommend checking individual specs to confirm fit. It’s designed to work with most standard rotisseries, racks, and grates in that size category. We are currently in development of our own rottiseries and other accessories so if you have something in mind that you think would add value to your set up, please reach out and we'll see what we can do!

Yes — just one burn-in is required. Fire it up to a high temp when you first get it, let it run hot for a while, then allow it to cool completely. After that, it’s good to go.
Minimal assembly required. It ships mostly assembled and comes with the tools required to assemble, but you’ll need to assemble the trolley, attach the side shelves and set the unit into the trolley. The main ceramic body does weigh around 80kg so it's quite heavy, so for the final lift into place we recommend getting two or three people so lift and put into place safely.
Assembly is straightforward. Once you’ve unpacked the parts, it’s just a matter of attaching the legs and frame with a few screws, attaching on the side tables and top vent, and then carefully placing the Kamado into its stand. The whole process typically takes less than an hour. Or if we measure in beers, it's around a two beer job.
Yes — one person can handle most of the assembly. However, lifting the main ceramic body into the stand is the one step where you’ll need help. The Kamado weighs around 80kg, so we recommend having 2–3 people on hand to safely lift and position it. Everything else you can easily manage solo.
Use quality charcoal and a couple of firelighters. Open the bottom vent fully and light it up. Once the fire is going, close the lid and fully open the top vent to allow maximum airflow. Leave it for around 20 minutes to let the charcoal heat up evenly before adjusting for your desired cooking temp.
Pretty much anything! It’s perfect for:
'and so much more! - It's an extremely versatile charcoal cooking weapon.
Nope. After each cook, just open the vents and let it run hot to burn off any residue (like a self-cleaning oven). The built-in ash drawer makes clean-up easy — just empty it every few uses.
Insert the deflector plates, add your favourite wood chunks on top of the charcoal, and almost completely close both the top and bottom vents — leaving just enough for a small airflow. The temp should stabilise around 120°C, ideal for low ‘n’ slow smoking.
It's designed primarily for lump charcoal, but wood chunks can be added to enhance smoke flavour. Avoid using logs or large pieces of hardwood as your primary fuel — it burns hotter and less predictably than charcoal.
Yes — the ceramic body retains heat exceptionally well, even in poor weather. Just make sure you keep the top vent covered or closed when not in use to avoid water getting in.

But don’t worry — the unit is made up of seperate components (main body, side tables, racks, inner charcoal bowl etc) and assembly is straightforward and can be completed by one person. The only part that needs a hand is lifting the main body (around 80 kg) onto the stand, so we recommend grabbing a friend or two to help with that step.
