Delivery Details: The FYR Kamado is shipped in a secure pallet weighing approximately 151kg.

But don’t worry — the unit is made up of seperate components (main body, side tables, racks, inner charcoal bowl etc) and assembly is straightforward and can be completed by one person. The only part that needs a hand is lifting the main body (around 80 kg) onto the stand, so we recommend grabbing a friend or two to help with that step.

I haven't even owned it for a week and I've used it everyday.

I absolutely love this thing. I bought a Joe Jr a few years back to see if I can cook on charcoal and quickly realised it's easy and then regretted buying one so small. Then I wanted to buy a big one and couldn't justify the spend. I then found the fyr and bought one and I'm so happy with my purchase. I haven't even owned it for a week and I've used it everyday. Steaks sear to perfection, beef ribs low and slow over an 8 hour cook were perfect first cook. This is the perfect size. Easy to use and simply makes you cook food as if you are a pit master.

Picked up the bbq recently and I cannot be happier with it. Everything is quality and feels solid — the lid hinge, the grill, baskets, the deflector plates, the body, all really Bigger than I was expecting too! Heaps of room for a cook. The best part for me is how steady the temperature stays. I had cheaper old BBQs and the bloody annoying part was the fire dying during long cooks. Can recommend for anyone who is thinking about it. Absolutely. You’re welcome to view the Kamado in person at our Northgate facility. If you’re not local, we’re happy to schedule a FaceTime walkthrough so you can see all the details up close before committing.

Use quality charcoal and a couple of firelighters. Open the bottom vent fully and light it up. Once the fire is going, close the lid and fully open the top vent to allow maximum airflow. Leave it for around 20 minutes to let the charcoal heat up evenly before adjusting for your desired cooking temp.

Yes — just one burn-in is required. Fire it up to a high temp when you first get it, let it run hot for a while, then allow it to cool completely. After that, it’s good to go.

Pretty much anything! It’s perfect for:

Low ‘n’ slow smoking (brisket, ribs, pork shoulder)
High-heat searing (steaks, tomahawks)
Roasting (chicken, lamb, veggies)
Baking (pizzas, bread)
Wok cooking (with the included insert)

Insert the deflector plates, add your favourite wood chunks on top of the charcoal, and almost completely close both the top and bottom vents — leaving just enough for a small airflow. The temp should stabilise around 120°C, ideal for low ‘n’ slow smoking.

If the accessory is designed for a 22-inchKamado, itshould be compatible — but we recommend checking individual specs to confirm fit. It’s designed to work with most standard rotisseries, racks, and grates in that size category.
